Linear is a decentralized cross-chain protocol. This exchange enables trading of synthetic assets (Liquids). The project allows traditional assets like commodities, forex, market indices to be traded as synthetic assets.\ \ Those synthetic assets are considered to be delta-one assets, meaning that the price of the synthetic moves by the same amount as the price of the underlying asset. So, Linear is a means to manage synthetic assets.
The LINA token serves as the base collateral to mint Liquids and can be staked by holders.
LINA is also used as the governance token, letting holders set transaction fees and the allocation to the insurance fund. Linear Finance was co-founded in 2020 by a former Deutsche Bank trader, Drey Ng and former vice president of Credit Suisse in Hong Kong and Harvard Business School graduate, Kevin Tai.
