The SKALE Network is a decentralised cloud platform built on top of Ethereum. Using elastic sidechains that are faster and offer lower fees than Ethereum, developers can scale their applications. Decentralised apps can use it to run full-state smart contracts, execute rollup contracts, store data, and run machine learning algorithms using the EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine). Essentially, it’s a layer-2 platform built to power Web 3.

The SKL token is used for payment, security, rewards, and governance. It lets holders work as a validator, stake, as a delegator, access computing resources, and vote. SKALE Network was created in 2018 by the Silicon Valley veterans Stan Kladko and Jack O’Holleran.
