What is Frax?
Frax (FRAX) is the native asset of the Fraxtal blockchain. After its rebrand and migration, FRAX now acts as the core asset of the network, used to pay transaction fees and support the security of the blockchain.
FRAX is issued directly on the Fraxtal network and has a fixed supply schedule that cannot be changed. Unlike its earlier version, FRAX is no longer designed to be price-stable and is not used for on-chain governance. Instead, it functions as a scarce digital asset that sits at the centre of the Fraxtal ecosystem.
Some applications built by Frax Finance may allow FRAX to be staked or used within their products, but these features are optional and built on top of the asset. At its core, FRAX remains the sole native asset of the Fraxtal blockchain.
